what gets installed first, door jams or tile?

I'm getting ready to drywall and after that I can install the pre-hung doors or I can wait to install them after the tile.

Option 1) - Doors first
advantage - easier I think, don't need to trim bottom of the jam on the pre-hung door to avoid massive gap between door and floor.

Option 2) - Tile first

advantage - don't have grout line between tile and jam

Is there a "correct" way or way that is more common? I'm thinking option 1 but wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.

Thanks!

I prefer number 2, but you can do it either way.

Tile what? The floor, wall?
Grout should never be used between the jam and tile!
Any time tile changes direction or meets a dissimilar material you use caulking not grout.

I would tile first so the Jamb can rest directly on the tile floor.
Be prepared to cut one side of the Jamb to level in the head Jamb as required.
Caulk the jamb to the floor.
