What caulk/sealant to use on wood-to-wood joint that SLC can be poured over??

Hello.

I'm going to lay Self Leveling Concrete over my bathroom floor but have this small area in front of the door that was not concrete but wood. I replaced the existing wood with a fresh piece of 5/8" plywood and now need to seal around this piece of wood. My question is, what product do I use to seal around this piece of wood so that I can then coat over it with a floor primer and then finally the self-leveling concrete??

See photo attached please. (Note: the piece of wood shown in front of the door is surrounded by 2x4s, used as the template when pouring the concrete originally, so it's a wood-to-wood joint that is in question)

Thanks

Pull the wood, put in cement backer board instead, cover it with whatever. Ron
