Question

Tiled wall for glass shower door is not plumb. Suggestions?

I didn't start with a perfect wall (long story -guy who got it ready for tile is long gone) and didn't realize the impact the non-plumb wall would have on framing in the glass shower door.

This is an alcove bath/shower. Tile is 4 x 16" ceramic, so soft to work with. One bottom row tile throws it off at the far end of the tub enough that shimming the shower door frame with some washers and siliconing where there would be a gap would look bad. I've got two rows at the shower head side.

I'm hoping someone has used something like a diamond ball end bit on a dremel to shim down tile height before on a wall. I just need a 1/2' channel ground down to plumb out the wall.

Anyone???

I assume using a U-channel for the edge of the glass is out of the question, aesthetically?

Edit: pics are your friend.

I'm new to the forum and must have a post under my belt before I can post pics/links.

The shower door is Levity 60 in. x 62 in. Semi-frameless Sliding Tub Door in Silver with Handle. (Home D)

I'd love to show the amount the lower tile row throws off the plumb line if it would allow. Sigh. The rest of the job is not too bad and I used a laser so my stacked lines would be decent. Just a total DIY oversight IF I was going to use a shower curtain, all would be fine. I have the shower door waiting n the garage though.

Yes, that's the shower door.

I found a great video on-line where they used a 6mm ball point super coarse diamond bit to shave down a bit of tile, but I can't seem to find the bit to purchase.
