Tile vs calk

Can you calk over grout where the shower and tub meet? New tile was put up and they grouted instead of using calk between the tub and shower.

Nope, It's got to come out, and they know better then that.
I use my ossilating saw with the carbide blade for this. Goes through it like a knife through hot butter.

Technically, you can apply the caulk over the grout. The problem isn't the caulk, but the fact that the grout is going to crack and fall out - taking the caulk with it.

Like Joe said, the way to do it right is to get that bottom line of grout out of there and fill the space with the right material.
