Shower Question

I had my plumber install my Kohler shower system - with jets and hand shower and rainhead and steam unit etc. Now I have to install the kerdi system (using kerdi wall boards instead of the wrap they sell for the walls in place of CMU board).

My questions is simple and probably dumb to most of you but, those blue caps they put over the jets/etc.....are they supposed to stay on there or do I remove them before I put the wall panels up? If I remove them, should I turn the water off first or what??? I assume so.

Please let me know, I am planning to start this week on this. Photos are attached.

thanks!

Re: Shower Question

What does your valve bodies look like. It appears you should wall around these as an escutcheon will cover them, but we can't see them, nor the outlet/valve bodies.

Re: Shower Question

Attached are what the jets look like. There's no hole in the stem of the blue plastic covers so I can't understand why I would keep them there.

Re: Shower Question

That is a great picture of the pretty side of the units. How about a complete picture showing the back. Most likely they will embed themselves in a larger hole, and those squares provided will give ample room for attachment and sinking into the wall once the tile is up.
