Shower door advice needed

Hello friends,

I hope everyone is doing well. I want to install a glass shower door in my bathroom, well, actually, my relative who has some experience as a handyman and with plumbing, will help me with this.

Below are some pictures of the current shower stall. Are you can see, it is in sort of an L shape, thus we will need two glasses?

We prefer frame less, but with frames is ok, if that is easier to install?

Here are some pictures of the current shower stall.

Can you please help us understand:

1) Can we get the doors installed? Is it a highly complex job?

2) Any suggestions on what type of door we should install?

3) Any other installation tips please?

Thank you so much,
Oxonian

Hinge the door off the wall jamb and use a strip of glass for the short piece.
All needs to be tempered with polished edges.
Use 3/8" minimum or check your local codes.

Check out CR Laurence web site for hardware/door seals.

Re: Shower door advice needed

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know any U.S source for good quality hardware/door seals?

So, for the glass on the side, how do I place that? on the tile as well?

Should I get the glass ready made from a big box store, or get it from a glass supplier?

Thank you very much,
Oxonian

Re: Shower door advice needed

I don't know about your BOX stores, but here they order their custom glass from the local Glass store, and mark it up.

So you pay a bigger price here.

I would go direct to a glass place to order my panels.

A narrow one for the shorter side, and a hinged one for the longer side.

The supplier will have the hardware with the proper sealing tape and everything you need.

As well as quite a selection to choose from.

Find your local glass supplier in the YELLOW PAGES, remember them.

As mentioned above, the glass supplier probably has an account with CR Laurence already.
Click on the American flag on the link. Check all the hardware and know what you want before you approach a glass supplier.

You want to make sure they don't make a mistake and that you're getting what you want.
