sealant for tile backsplash kitchen


for tile/grout sealant do I apply before/after grout? I saw some video done it both. the video seal before grout mention is prevent haze from grout while other video seal it after apply the grout

Depends on whether you have tiles which need to be sealed.

k thx I think they mention for stone/ceramic need to be sealed before apply grout while glass one don't need it.

Natural stone would need to be sealed, ceramic or porcelain can go either way and you have to look at the specific tile to know.

k thx, on another topic whats difference between enhancer vs sealer? I heard enhancer just another sealer but protect from grease and darken stone, its something additive when mixing grout or apply after grout? any recommend on sealer that don't change the look of tile but protect it from grease etc?

Hi s002,

It would be easier and better if you just told us what type of tiles you plan to seal. Obviously our answer might be different for glazed ceramic vs tumbled travertine. Tell us the specific grout you'll be using too.
