Replace shower pan- need to remove tile?

I think the previous owners let harsh cleaners sit too long on my 20 yr old shower pan and no matter what I try I can't clean it (fiberglass). I found the exact pan on the internet and wondered if I could remove the old one and put in the new one without having to remove the bottom layers of tile that butt up to the pan.

No.
If it was built correctly the flanges on the receptor (pan) should sit behind the bottom row of tiles.
