Relocate bathroom

I am relocating my downstairs bathroom and need to break up the concrete floor to extend the under floor drains to new locations. Is it better to saw cut or jack hammer the concrete floor?

Thanks

Best to do both. It gets saw cut then you jack hammer out the center section. If not your going to have one sloppy looking trench.

Saw cut approx 8-12" wide. A few whacks with a sledge and you won't need a jackhammer at all.

I don't think you want to spend the $2K + for the tools to cut & demo hammer out the location, so consider renting them. Most tool rental places will carry what you need.
