Recommendation for Bathroom

I am not sure what was installed (see photo.) I donít want to remove the clamps and risk damaging the tile.

Is there anything I can install such as a wash rack or shaving/cosmetic tray that will work with the already installed clamps?

Thanks

That tile looks pretty generic...surely you could find some replacement pieces if you bust something.

Re: Recommendation for Bathroom

Those 'clamps' should be screwed into the wall. The odds are the only damage you'd do removing them is exposing the screw holes in the tile.

Yes, three do appear to be screwed in and can be removed.

However, I have no idea whatís going on with the one in the lower area.

Any thoughts on to get this off?

That looks like someone's attempt at a patch.

Yes, I think your right.

It appears to be some type of plastic putty.

Any idea of what can be done? Maybe cut it off assuming the putty isn't covering anything metal.

Re: Recommendation for Bathroom

I'd try cutting it off, a multi tool should work well although a chisel should also work. Just take it slow until you know how it will go! As long as you don't crack the tile it's not like you will make it look worse.

Re: Recommendation for Bathroom

I'd try heating it up with a heat gun first, see if it's the type of goop that becomes pliable with heat. Maybe you can just pry or scrape it out.
