range hood venting

i know how to do it. but idk what to do about air leakage. i am afraid that there will be air leaking in when its not in use. i had this problem at my last place. every winter i would put tin foil over the inside filter panels. we don't use this feature much at all, almost never. but since i am going to be siding this outside wall, i should add this now.

I used a Broan wall cap with spring held flap, and my hood vent also has a flap. Bought it on Amazon.
