Question re caulking bottom and corners of new mosaic travertine backsplash ??

I have just completed a vanity back splash renovation involving a back wall and two side splash walls. I grouted the travertine mosaic tiles three days ago and sealed with 511 impregnator today.

I have read that the spaces between the bottom tiles and the counter top
and the corners between the adjacent walls should be caulked.
How long should I wait to caulk these spaces? What type of caulk should be used?

Thanks for your help
