permanent mirror on cement board (bath tub)

i would like to put a fixed mirror in a recessed area in my bath tub where i will also have a couple of shelves for shampoo and stuff.

i was wondering if it is possible to set it onto cementboard using thinset or what should be used? i would prefer some adhesive/cement/mortar/thinset rather than fasteners like screws.

don't ask me why i wanna do it. it's just a crazy idea and i want it.

Use mirror adhesive--it comes in caulking tubes---you should use a mirror with a water proof backing or the silver will turn black in a few years.
