mounting wer grab bars

I have a fiberglass shower/bathtub combo that I need to mount some grab bars. The outside edges have studs underneath so that isn't a problem, but the long wall has a 2" space between the fiberglass and the studs, and I would like to mount a grab bar there as well. There is no access from the other side of that wall. Any ideas for support?

What is the other side of the wall? Nothing you put in those fiberglass shells is going to hold much weight.

What's the exterior consist of? If you tell me vinyl siding, I tell you to pull some boards and put in some bracing for a long term solution.
