Kitchen Cabinets and Soffit Leveling Gap

I started remodeling our kitchen to put new IKEA section cabinets in. After tearing down the old cabinets, I decided to check how level things were before working on the drywall and paint. This part of the kitchen has a corner cabinet going in, and starting at the left side to before the corner to the right side after the corner, there is a total of a 1/2" drop. These are shaker style cabinets so their is no molding to work with, and vertical space is tight so I have to mount them as close as possible. My question is........ is it better to keep the cabinets level and let the gradual 1/2" gap appear, and then pretend that one day I will re-drywall the soffit (never going to happen), or should I try to fudge the cabinets to slope up the 1/2" to keep it in line with the soffit. I'm a computer geek by trade, so the thought of not having everything perfectly level drives me crazy, but I realize with home improvement stuff compromises need to be made.

Does the floor have the same slope. If that is a future fix it best be fixed first.
Or re drywall the soffit after making the framing level.

IMHO I would level the cabinets so the countertop is also level. There are several ways to deal with the 1/2" slope as I had the same issue when installing my own kitchen using Forevermark RTA cabinets. If you will post a rough drawing with some dimensions I will try to be of further assistance. I'm a bit of a computer geek also with a touch of self diagnosed OCD
If you feel the need to level the soffit it should be done first you can probably find a local expert to do it at a reasonable price. Don't try to plaster or drywall yourself unless it is your skilset.
