Kitchen cabinet knobs - finish, please help

I am looking to replace my existing kitchen cabinet knobs/handles with new.
I am really unsure what finish would look good on my cabinets. Her eis a picture of the cabinet, along with two handles. the handle on the left is the original one that is still there and has been for a number of years. The one on the right is one I bought yesterday, but with the color of the cabinet, it looks "off". Something doesn't look right about it.

Can anyone suggest a finish that would look good? Once I get an acceptable finish, I will go after a style I like. I'd like it to be simple, nothing to decorative. but yet look good.

That one on the left is too fancy, and is overpowering the look of the simpler one.

Remove it and then see how good the new one is.

I like the chrome on the oak myself.

I agree. That handle would only look right on a shinny white surface. Certainly doesn't work on a red oak surface.

Well, the one on the left will definitely be removed. Just looking for a replacement that wouldn't look odd. I like the Nickel finishes, but my plain jane decorating skills don't assist in what "looks good".

I will place two of the "right side" handles on a cabinet and repost. We'll see if it looks any better

Need to see a pic showing at least a few cabinets.

A problem with the left one is the goofy ends. The right one is too short.

What is the on-center screw hole measurement?

Go to wayfair to see more and $ave $$$. I got a bunch from them a few years ago for about 30% the HD & lowes price.

Also check out Overstock. https://www.overstock.com/search?key...OM2HPPBR74KIDM

I definitely see a lot of handles i like on that wayfair, but again, I don't know what looks best on the wood cabinets I have. Here is a picture of more cabinets in the kitchen that I have, to get a better idea of overall finish

Ayuh,.... I Wish I had pictures, but I don't,....

At my river house, I used fishin' lures, without the hooks of course, as drawer pulls, 'n door handles,....

With a handle of Crankbait, I'm guessin' ya might have atleast half as many of the overflowin' tackle boxes I've got,...
Color, size, finish, configuration is Unlimited,...

Re: Kitchen cabinet knobs - finish, please help

I thought I posted a picture of the final knob selection installed. Here they are.......I think it looks good.

Here is a picture of a few of the cabinets and a close up. Please excuse the mess below the cabinet. My kitchen is literally upside down right now, while I work on it.

Those look much better than those original ones.

Those Flowery ones looked like something from an English Dames Bathroom.

not a kitchen.

Re: Kitchen cabinet knobs - finish, please help

Ha ha. When we bought this house back in 2003, the home was 9 years old at that point. There was an elderly couple that lived here. They had wallpaper everywhere and old antique-ish decorations everywhere.

We did remove all the wallpaper everywhere but not much past that, obviously as you can tell from the door handles. We have been here for 13 years and never replaced the handles. I wish I had a good reason on why not, but sorry, got nothing. It takes selling the home to improve it's look.
