Kerdi Waterproof Membrane and attaching leaderboard

I want to attach a straight board for a starting line and to help keep the wall tile level and in place but how do I fasten it in place without puncturing the Kerdi waterproof membrane.

Also I'm assuming before I install the finished wall tile (starting 3 rows above the finished floor) the floor tile should be installed.

I want to install the floor tile last for a better seal or does it matter?

Install your ledger with screws, and seal the holes with Redgard or other waterproof sealants when you remove it.

What kind of "seal" are you looking for in your floor? You can install either at which ever time you want. It is usually best for eye appeal to install the floor first and then the wall as the eyes are looking down and won't see the joint as much. But we don't know what you are building.

Sorry....it's a walk-in shower.
