installing stainless steel sink in granit counter top?

I want to install a stainless steel sink in a granit top but there is no room for the clips and the clip channel interfers with the top?

It sounds like you need a different sink. It the edge of the stone finished at all? Can you undermount?

If the sink is the right size and the edges of the counter top are finished then an under mount would work so much better and be eazer to clean the counter tops.

Sounds like the cut out for the sink in the granite is too small. There should not be any interferance with the clip channels. They should fit into the cut out opening. Talk to a granite fabricator in your area and see what they would do. You might need them to come to your place and re-cut the opening to the right size. I seem to remember that they grooved out small steps on the underside of the granite for the clips. Look at the clips that came with your sink. You might be able to modify them to work or come up with your own hardware.
