I have a built in range hood that's pretty old. We are in the process of getting ready to paint and get new tops. The hood is about 36 wide and has a vent that you can access when you open the cabinet doors above or.
I've seen rectangular ranges that can pop in, which would be the easiest fix. But we were wondering can we remove the whole cabinet piece and put a hood ? Or Can we cut it in half horizontally and get a big stainless hood? Can we break open The box above the cabinet? What would be inside of it?
(1) First thing that came to my mind is remove the exhaust
and after removal the removal -- cut the 2 door cabinet off and re-install
it, then buy a micro wave exhaust fan and install it
under the cabinet.
(2) If that's a micro over the oven on the right, then think about a
seperate exhaust fan to mount under the cabinet. Match your
new exhaust fan with your appliances. You have SS sppliances
then do a SS exhaust fan.
