Help please

Hired a " proffesional tile person"
Come to find out he has installed LFT versabond as the mudbed, thankfully that all he did before I fired him
My question is has anybody removed thinset LFT that was installled onto a shower pan
Look @ versabond website and it said it doesn't adhere well to plastic
My shower pan is brand new and I know it was not leaking prior to having the incorrect mudbed installed
Clearly I am trying to same the pan so the correct mudbed can be installed
Everything else is done and redguarded 3 times, so I would hate to break it down and to install a new pan
Any help is appreciated
Thank you
Morten

Re: Help please

Thinset on a plastic surface should come off real easy with a wet sponge.

Should you choose or need to scrape use a wood or composite shim and not a metal putty knife.

With either method work small areas and remove the gritty residue often and gently.

The "mud bed" made out of
LFT is between 1/2 and 1-1/2 thick
So I will have to chisel it out gently
Just wondering if it sticks to the shower pan
I am hoping it is coming out in big pieces?
Thank you
