Doing a shower with Schluter

I'm going to be redoing a small shower and think the easiest way to go would be to use the schluter system with kerdi board. My question is, once I have the kerdi installed, is there a pre-mixed thinset that I can use to install the kerdi strips that cover the seams and the washers? Also, can that same thinset be used to install the foam pan to the floor and the tiles over the kerdiboard or do I need different mixes?

No such thing as pre mixed thinset. Use what Schluter tells you to use.

Joe,
If you haven't already, go to Schluter's website and you can download their installation manual and also watch videos that show exactly how to install their products. Don't try to vary from the process and you shouldn't have any troubles. Plan ahead before mixing your thinset. You can have all your kerdi material precut to size beforehand. Then you will have enough time to install it. No shortcuts.

Thanks - yes, I'll be doing that. There are a lot of installation videos online, which is great and the system seems pretty straight forward.
