Can a double-surface-mount sink fit in a 30"w base cabinet

Kitchen Sink: The exterior width of the FLANGE of a standard, surface-mount double sink is 33." however, the side-by-side width of the sinks (as measured from under) is aprox. 30"). Problem: I, absolutely, need to stay with a 30" wide base cabinet. Any comments/suggestions (don't suggest going to a 24" w single sink)-- I need a double sink. --Any SURFACE-MOUNT double sink that is less than the standard 33" wide --- and that cost less than $400? ---Jaes.

you can make it fit...just trim the sides of the cabinet and that should give you room to get the sink in..you just might not be able to get the side hold down screws in, but plenty front and rear...

The inside dimension of a 30" wide cabinet is 29" assuming 1/2" plywood sides. Cut the sides out down to below the depth of the sink.
