I decided to use the Blum Compact 33 hinges for almost all the doors. They're simple to install and I think robust enough. The only exceptions were a lazy-susan corner cabinet and the corner cabinet above it -- for those I used Blum 170-degree and bifold hinges. For drilling, I simply set the drill depth to 1/2", clamped a piece of hardwood to the drill press table at the proper distance from the bit center and put marks on either side to position the corner of the door (all hinges are center-lined 3" from corner).
My wife loves the lazy-susan and the corner cabinet above it -- now she's making noises about redoing the cabs in our home to incorporate those ideas(!)
