Bathroom vanity wall mounted faucet

So I will be installing my first wall mounted bathroom vanity faucets soon and I was curious if there any standards on the height above vanity/sink that they should be at? 36" high vanity using undermount sink. Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Bathroom vanity wall mounted faucet

I'm not aware of any standards/codes per say because sink heights vary (under-mount, vessel, etc.,) all I've ever seen on it was regarding handicap access (If the faucet is installed for an ADA-accessible sink, the handles must be no more than 44 inches from the floor if the sink is 20 inches or less in depth or 48 inches above the floor if the sink is 20 to 25 inches in depth.)

I'd say you want it to be high enough to comfortably wash your hands under it, but not so high that it splashes out onto the counter.

I think it would depend on the faucet you are using and maybe they come with a suggestion. There is a code on how low it can be, I think 1" above the flood level of the sink but you want it higher than that.

Re: Bathroom vanity wall mounted faucet

thank you for the answers and sorry but in reading my original post I wasn't really looking for a standard rather a typical height above sink. Curious if anyone has installed one and found how many inches above sink seemed to work best for you.

Re: Bathroom vanity wall mounted faucet

I just have a sink mounted and the bottom of the spout is 1 1/2" above the rim of the sink.
