Bathroom - Plumbing for downsized vanity?

Hi There -

wanted to check if this is an issue folks have run into and if i'm going about it in the right way.

Basically i currently have an 84" dual sink vanity and the water lines/p-trap seem to have placed to fit specifically for this large vanity.

On the remodel, i am putting in a 60" dual sink vanity with a 24" towel closet - the result is that the sink plumbing in the new vanity will not line up exactly with where they would have previously in the wall. can i use water extension lines as well as extend the p-trap to meet the new vanity or do i have to go in the wall and move the plumbing?

Picture attached for reference

You may or may not be ok. It will depend on whether all of plumbing valves and drains would be within the confines of the new cabinet, with the new cabinet in the new location.

You might want to put some painters tape down on the floor representing the position of the 60" cabinet. Then just look into the existing cabinet and see if all the valves and drains are within that space.

Also be aware of any drawers in the new cabinet and their placement in relation to the plumbing.

Based on your dwgs it looks to me like it will work. Go for it and come back if you run into any problems.

I think you'll be fine.... at worse, you may have to doctor/cut/ alter the cabinet a little for your lines.... but that should be no big deal.

Good going

(Edit: Bring home a lot of fixture drain connections...unless you're better than me in estimateing what you'll need)
