Is this what I need for a shower only

I want to replace a shower valve in my shower, no tub. Right now I have a handle to turn the water on and off, and adjust the temperature. I have a spot where the shower head comes out of the wall.

I can not make heads or tails of this thing. The valve has a bunch of cartridge looking things in the box . The other box has a brass body with a gray plastic looking cap thing. Compared to Moen this thing makes no sense at all. Please help

Yes---you will need the valve body---(your first link) and the kit that contains the mixer cartridge and trims--

After you solder in the valve body---install the mixer cartridge----or your hot and cold water will mix--causing warm water to come out of the cold fixtures in your house.
