What is going on with the Schedule 30 fittings ?

Two years ago, I used the 3 in. schedule 30 thin wall sewer/yard drain rated PVC pipes to run some of my gutter drops out away from the house underground. I want to do some conversion work on them and I need some 3 in. WYE fittings.

Every Lowes and HD store around me for 30 miles shows "not available" on their sites. I physically checked my towns store and none available and they do not know when they will be shipped. Strange.

Is there a such a thing as a 3 in. Schedule 30 pipe to a Schedule 40 adapter bushing maybe ? They have plenty of schedule 40- 3 inch WYE's.

Re: What is going on with the Schedule 30 fittings ?

I checked with my local BrockMcvey industrial plumbing supply an hour ago and they only had SER schedule 35 WYE's starting at 4 in. only. I just got back from my local Ace Hardware and managed to grab enough fittings to do what I want to do.

I bought some 3 in. schedule 40 WYE's and can see that if I run the 3 in. schedule 30 couplings over my belt sander just a hair, they will fit snug in to the schedule 40 WYE's. All good now, and I am going to get the tiller out now and go dig up some gutter drain pipes. Thanks.

I'm glad that all is well but I have to LOL @ a belt sander for plumbing not that I wouldn't do if the occasion arises. Thanks for the tip.
