Water Test

I bought one of those DIY home water testers. I have attached images. What do you think I could do to improve the water quality. I do get hard water deposits on things, and build up in the filter in the showerhead.

Wow, looks like your city is doing a great job! But not a water expert, just lots of chemistry classes. Obviously the water is hard . Can you install a water softener?

Is there a softener anyone can recommend?

Would this be a DIY project or a leave it to the pro job?

NO recommendation.
DIY? It depends on your skill level. No problem for me.
