Water pipe and dryer outlet

Hi, wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I'm trying to get a water line to my garage from my laundry room (share the same wall). The only way is to go right next to the dryer outlet. Do I go above the outlet inside the wall, leaving about 6 inches from the outlet. Or do I go outside the wall, underneath it, leaving about 4 inches from the outlet. Any help is appreciated.

When you say dryer outlet, I assume you mean the electrical receptacle not the dryer vent.

Run where most convenient, there is no separation requirement.
My electrical answers are based on 2014 NEC, you may have local amendments.
