That's the right pipe, make surer the coupling is plastic x cast iron.
Buy some perforated hanger strap to support the pipe too.
Plastic pipe is at 4' centers or independently supported. Put strapping on the CI before you cut it.
Tork the bands to 60 inch pounds.
