Utility sink installation

Hi there, My name is Peetsi and this is my first time on here and was wondering if you can help me with something? I was told that it would cost me 1200 dollars to install a utility sink in my garage and take up to 8 hours to finish.....Why is it so expensive? Can I try doing it myself? Cutting thru the wall, rerouting pipe......???

No one here is going to know if it's an attached garage, where you even live, what its going to take to run the supply's and and drains to the septic system, what local labor rates are, what local codes are without a lot more info so they can make a guess.
Tried getting some more quotes?

Peetsi, welcome aboard!
If you're somewhat handy, this is something you might be able to tackle.
Like Ghost said, a couple pictures of your connection points or any questionable areas would be nice.
