Underground water line to garden/rv hookup

Hello,

I'm wanting to run a water line under ground to a few yard hydrants, 2 for the garden and one for a future rv hook site. I'm planning on using 1" cpvc pipe. Total distance is about 200' with about a 2ft drop in elevation total along the run.

I understand the bigger the pipe the less loss in pressure etc. I have an outside faucet on the house which is where I wanted to tie into the water supply, this is only 1/2 copper. Am I wasting my money with the 1" cpvc? Will the existing 1/2 pipe limit the flow to that of 1/2?

Ayuh,.... I'd use black poly pipe,....

Yer flows will be somewhat limited by the small pipe size,...
What kinda flows do ya need,..??

Usin' 1" will insure you'll have All the flow that's available, regardless what's upstream,....

I agree. And it will be cheaper, no joints, easier to install and more durable.

Just make sure you use 100% stainless hose clamps. Some are called stainless but the screw is not.

Ok yeah looks like poly pipe is a better option. I was thinking cpvc originally because you can use it for potable water. Looks like you can with poly pipe too
