Toy Stuck in Bathtub Faucet

Of course one of my sons put a small turtle inside our bathroom faucet. Its lodged in enough where water wont push it back up, but just out of reach for fingers. I can see it. Tried grabbing with needle nose pliers. That just pushed it further in. Is there an easy way to grab it without removing the faucet? Thank you.

Coat hanger with a hook bent into it. Other than that, just remove the outlet and push it out of through in reverse direction.

Re: Toy Stuck in Bathtub Faucet

There's a tool in my toolbox called "Mechanic's Fingers", it is a thin cable with a push button, that extends three hooks out to wrap around an object that is out of reach ( lost nuts), and pick them up.

This might get a grip on turtle, or disassembly.

Just unscrew the spout....

You may have to re-caulk where it meets the tile...but not a big deal

Or, if you have a Harbor Freight near by, they have this small tool set that includes a right angle hook type of tool.

Welcome to parenthood....it will only get 'better'.

You should see what it takes to get a plastic turtle out of a toilet.

Quoted from Dawg: You should see what it takes to get a plastic turtle out of a toilet.

Wait until you get a Rat-tail comb stuck in one.

Re: Toy Stuck in Bathtub Faucet

Tie a loop in the end of some heavy string. Drop the loop end of the string down the drain on one side of the toy. Use a crevice attachment on your vacuum to suck the loop end of the string so it comes back up the other side of the toy. Feed the other end of the string through the loop, tighten, and then pull the toy out.
You might need a very small crevice attachment for this to work.

Re: Toy Stuck in Bathtub Faucet

I would agree on the bent wire hook approach. And then unscrewing it.

Keep us posted!

Awesome ideas. I'll give them all a shot haha not sure how to post pics but the faucet kinda looks like a swans neck. That why I was puzzled how to get access to it.
