toto drake issue

So I installed two new toto drake toilets. The one in my back bathroom has this intermittent flushing issue. One day it will flush normal and the next day it will barely go down. I didnt mess with any of the insides, and I did the bucket test and all is well there. The water went down in the bowl with no issues. Any suggestions would be great, Thanks- Andrew

That is a good commode, so I would not suspect it is defective. If it were not intermittent, I would think it was a venting issue, but since it is sometimes working properly, I would guess that the stack is not obstructed. One thing I have seen, is where one of my installers slightly turned the fill valve inside the tank when tightening the supply line which caused it to drag against the wall of the tank. Check to make sure it did not twist. Also, ensure the water level is adjusted properly. Toto often has them set lower than the fill tube from factory.

Either way, get back to us and let us know.
