Toilet Seat/Lid Re-attachment


Trying to re-attach my toilet seat/lid this morning, but Im having a difficult time getting the black bulbous part down and completely thru the hole in the toilet base. Attached are two pictures of what Im working with. The toilet itself is an American Standard.

If you loosen the screw the black bulb will get smaller so you can put it in and then tighten the screw again.
