Toilet Flange Replacement

So ive removed the old flooring, down to concrete, removed the metal around the flange where the bolts hold on to, there is still the pvc portion still installed or glued in place, so i need to remove that carefully correct?

Once removed, is the best option to get the flange that goes inside the drain pipe and you screw tight to hold in place? or cement to existing drain pipe?

I have nothing in the area so if i need to remove some concrete around it to replace correctly i can do it now..

Re: Toilet Flange Replacement

We need a picture or two----

Is the pipe white PVC?
Is the flange part of the 90 or a separate fitting?

3" or 4" ?

More info will get you the best answer.

Why does it need to be replaced?

Re: Toilet Flange Replacement

The flange itself was metal surround with white pvc center, the pvc looks to be 3", will take pictures tonight when i get home.. and im replacing because the metal surround was damaged and we are laying new tile flooring and the previous owners didnt install the flange correctly, so the toilet always rocked side to side while using it.. so would rather do everything right.

Re: Toilet Flange Replacement

Toilet rocking is not a flange issue, it is the toilet sitting on an unlevel floor.

Re: Toilet Flange Replacement
