Toilet draining question

We out in a new toilet a few months ago, and everything working fine. No leaking to report.

The past two weeks I've noticed after you flush you can hear the water drain very loudly through the bathtub drain. Prior to a couple weeks ago, you would t hear any water passing through as normal.

Does this sound like a deal or just one of those things?

Why was the toilet changed?
Is this bathtub used often?
A dry trap can cause that from lack of use.
A plugged up vent can also suck a trap dry when a toilet flushes.

What you're hearing is the bathtub drain trap being siphoned so the system can obtain enough air to move the water flushing from the toilet. That will cause sewer gas to leak back into your house. When that happens, run the bathtub water after you flush the toilet for now until you figure out what is causing it.

May have a partial clog in the main line or clogged vent. Have to investigate a little further.

The toilet was changed due to some updating to the bathroom after we bought the house, not for functionality reasons.

The bathtub has not been used since we bought the house over a year ago. The stand up shower also near the tub hasn't been used in a couple months because it was plugged up. We had a Plumber eradicate shower drain issue, but didn't start using the shower again, so it's been idle for 3 months

Just had a post like this the other day. After you get the main line clear, run the water in the bathroom you are not using once in awhile to prevent that from happening again. Should be good.
