Toilet 1/16 rocking front and back

I just installed a new American Standard toilet (it has a long base to it), due to my floor tiles, it does not sit flush with the floor. There is a very small gap of 1/16 between the floor and the front of the toilet base, causing a slight rock. Now it doesn't rock when i sit on it, it only rocks when i physically lift the toilet from the front (I can lift it ever so slightly). Would acrylic caulk fix this?

My previous toilet didn't need shimming, but the base from the front to back was not as long as my new toilet, so im guessing with the caulk on my previous toilet was used to stabilize it enough not to move.

Re: Toilet 1/16 rocking front and back

Bad news for you.

Yes--you needed to shim that and then secure the shims with some caulk.

Now that the toilet had been rocked several times, the wax seal may be leaking---

I suggest re-setting the toilet with a new wax ring----your call---
