Toile Flange too close too wall?

We had this toilet installed about a year ago and believe it or not it was never really tightened all they down. We don't use it much. He had to trench th floor and tie into the main line. I had to replace th wax ring and the back of the "neck" hits the wall slightly and when I install the tank it hits th wall too. i don't know what this guy did to get it on there but like I said it was always a bit loose....maybe that's why. Do they sell toilets with shallower "necks"? Thanks

Not sure of the actual dimensions you are playing with there.

But, you can find (not many but available) toilets made for a 10" (vs 12") setback. That might help.

Also, you can use an adjustable flange and get additional offset (either sideways or back/forth. That might help.

Yes, toilets are available for a closer set, but be careful how they go about achieving it. Some toilets do it by moving the flange holes 2". Others simply make the tank depth 2" narrower. This would mean the bowl will still hit.

Think I'm going to try and look into adjustable flange before buying new bowl.
