Are tighter fittings OK for sewage ejector pump waste line?
I'm installing an ejector pump that will pump waste up about 6 feet to an existing 3" waste line on the ceiling of my basement. My question is about splicing the 2" waste line from the ejector into the 3" waste line, this splice is below the kitchen, toilet and bathroom sink waste inlets. I've read (and common sense) tells me that the 2" line should rise, turn, then come down at the 3" from above. I do not have a lot of room overhead or around the 3" waste line, can I use tighter fittings to make this turn, given that the waste is pumped mechanically, or best to stick with longer sweeped turns?
