Are these baseboard heat covers on wrong?

Contractor has put on the new baseboard covers. They do not look right to me. And the damper does not look right, either! I have the install sheet, these are by Sterling. The instructions and diagrams leave a LOT to be desired. Says: BBIS2

I've never seen a wide connector like this, with a metal tab at the bottom, and covering the heat outlet at the top.

And he has these 3 extra parts for each length of cover. He says you use either or.

I realized that middle piece wasn't turned for you to see the angles so I turned it here

Are these up correctly? He had to special order these and the terms of the contract, I pay for these separately. I expect he will want the check before he leaves today (over $500). I'm not convinced they are in right.

What say you?

They look ok. Does the damper open and close properly?

The piece that extends from top to bottom covers where the two come together so it looks more finished.

Those extra parts may or may not be needed. I would keep them just in case.

Others will be along with more thoughts.

Well, I had him take off those long parts. On the Sterling website, they are called 4" wall trim to floor. They cost an extra $40. I plan to NOT pay for those, I did not ask for them. This was all special order. Don't know how far I will get.

Then he put on the 3 part joiners, which are included with the long slats, and which are what I am used to seeing on my baseboards.

In the process, we now have another leak. UGH!

And yes, NOW the damper seems to work fine.

He showed me the check valve, seems it is part of the pump unit.

No bleed hole. He wasn't going to put one, but because I insisted, he is going to add it.

This is the baseboard:

Where's the leak?

On special orders, doubt you'll get any money back

The leak is in the 1 inch copper pipe, somewhere under the fins. Will have to get the plumber in again tomorrow.

He ordered what he thought was needed, all I said was I want white, and like what is on there. I have pics, there was no wall trim bits on there; nor are there any anyplace in this house. He picked up and paid for them. I am supposed to write a check to him to reimburse him. He decided to get them, I did not ask for them

NOW he says that the way this sump pump is designed, there is no need for a bleed hole.

I wish I understood more of this, I really have no clue.

Am I missing something? You asked for something and got it.

He took back the wall trim pieces and let me deduct that from the amount I owed. So all set on that.
