Srewless faucet handles..anyone know how to remove this one?

hi,

so im trying to replace the cartridge in one of my kitchen faucet handles..and i cant figure out how to remove the handles on this thing. There's no screw to remove (just 1 screw behind the base of the faucet). There is a white ring under the handle which i loosened and it exposed a brass ring, but that didn't seem to help. Im beginning to think these are pressure held. What do you guys think?

Thanks

looks like they have a nut right under the handle. Do you know the manufacturer/model? Thanks.

hi jmon,

i was hoping for that when i unscrewed that white ring. But it isnt a nut..its round with no flat edges, so im guessing it's probably just the cylinder that holds the cartridge.

i was sure there was no model number around since the sticker behind the unit was faded. but sure enough i found some info engraved near the base in the back. KWC PA-IX 1854/ (NF)

i have contacted KWC, hopefully they will get back to me with some info. It's about 20 years old.

THanks!

That makes sense. After 20 years, handles may be fused together really good from sediment and hard to remove. Great that you contacted the manufacturer, hopefully they will help you out.
