shut-off valves

Are compression fitting shut-off valves working fine on this type of stub-out?
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded-3-1-2-in-x-8-1-2-in-PEX-Stub-Out-Elbow-HD630X248EPK/202329502

Any reason I should prefer the sweat shut-off valves?

Thanks

Compression works fine and makes it a whole lot easier to install, and remove in the future of they fail.

"Are compression fitting shut-off valves working fine on this type of stub-out?" I would say yes, IF this is new work. The ferrule within the compression fitting would seat well on this new copper PEX stub-out. Why compression over sweat? In today's world it's a personal preference, IMO. I'm older so therefore old-fashioned and prefer sweat joints. But I do/will admit that compression fittings will and do work just fine.
