quick question for the pros

we have a Navien CR-180 tankless water heater
we had an error code 37, water leak inside the entire enclosure
took the cover off, there was a bit of water, the circuitry did not get wet
the leak is a steady trickle at the top of the "h/e connecting pipe" where it meets the "water pipe adaptor B" , probably a busted O ring, or the heater exchange might be cracked and causing the leak

cold water inlet is shut off at the moment

my question is, can we run this unit for 30 minutes with a funnel (connected to flex piping leading to a drain) , under the leak so that the wife and I can take a shower, and then turn off the unit and water supply until the tech shows up with parts on Tuesday and fixes the leak ?

please check these photo links to see what I'm talking about
thanks in advance

Give it a try--have one of you watch the unit as you run it---will it work while the error code is displayed?

May not be enough pressure to activate the flow switch

Experience is Knowing what to do next, Skill is knowing how to do it
