Propane configuration

Ive attached a picture. I wanted to know if it's ok if that from the Tee fitting, this csst tubing is going up and back down to the shut off valve. Does this have any effect on the pressure within the tubing?

I ask bc I just replaced an old dryer not too long after i replaced the old copper tubing with csst. It was firing up intermittently and emitting a not quite gas smell from within about a day after doing a load.

I just bought a new Hotpoint dryer and converted it to propane. Just curious if i should leave this configuration before i hook the new one up. Thank you for reading.

It won't effect dryer operation. I'm not certain what a " not quite gas smell is " but do check for leaks with a liquid detergent / water solution.

The best way to describe it was Truffle. It didnt have the rotten smell propane has but it did smell like gas.

It would happen exactly a day after doing a load. Anyway thats gone. Just wanted to make sure this tubing going up into a loop had nothing to do with the pressure. Thank you.
