Point I was making is it's not impossible to have a lab test your city water.

Re: Private Well Water

Codes are common and I disagree with some that seem to me rather, not necessary, but to me it should be illegal to even list a piece of property with a well without a passing grade by state/county/health inspection and the paper work filed in that county with the deed or whatever legal documents your state county has for said property.

I was referring to your second sentence.

"The EPA requires the public water provider to meet certain requirements through the Safe Drinking Water Act, it's the law."

Either way, it doesn't matter anymore because OP doesn't want a house with well water.

Re: Private Well Water

Yes that's correct.
But I like to state that well water does have its faults. It may taste good now and after say 3 months, it still taste good, then if impurities are leaking into the well, then by the time you noticed something wrong with the water,
then it's too late when your family becomes sick.

Re: Private Well Water

That's why you put a whole house filter on it, it's pretty cheap.

Why don't you ask the Democrats in charge of Flints water system?
I assume you never brush your teeth to avoid the fluoride?
