Pressure switch vs low pressure switch

My current well set up has two low pressure switches. There is one controlling the pump in my aerator tank which pumps water into the house. There is another that controls the pump in the ground which pumps water into the aerator tank. Twice in the last two days my aerator tank has not filled. The low pressure switch that controls the in ground well pump has kicked off. I understand why the aerator pump needs the low pressure switch, for this very situation. I cant understand why the in ground well pump needs the low pressure switch. Should that just be a regular pressure switch, that does not have the ability to kick off. I have attached pics of the setup as well as the two low pressure switches. I look forward to your suggestions.

Re: Pressure switch vs low pressure switch

They are not commonly used. But in this example, I am clueless. I have never seen anything like it here in NOVA
