Simple to check.
Just connect one of these to an outside faucet.
I would have disconnected the line attached to the valve long ago to see if it's truly leaking.
If it is and the pressure is under 50 PSI the manufacture would be willing to replace the valve, or do it yourself, simple cheap fix.
A friend is coming by tomorrow with a gauge to check pressure. This is a gas hot water heater.
