Plumbers, what would you charge?

I am trying to get a number together to discuss with my wife with what we should do.

backstory. My wife's cousin is a plumber, I asked him if he could come up to my town and help me plumb my bathroom in my basement finishing project so I knew it was done right, rather than homeowner DIY. He agreed, drove the 3 hours to our house and did the work this weekend. Ultimately he ended up doing all of the work himself, and refused to let me pay him for his time or materials. I was able to buy him dinner, but I don't think that's enough haha.

What would the professional plumbers charge for this kind of job (ROUGHLY)? I am wanting to compensate him somewhat because I feel bad with what I assume is probably hundreds of dollars worth of work on top of materials.

This is what was done, basement bathroom was already roughed in, so the job was connecting everything.

-Set toilet flange (cut concrete to outside fit the flange on the stand pipe) as the stand pipe was concreted in all the way to the pipe

-ran drain to the sink

-tied into supply lines and ran pex supply to the sink and to the shower

-mounted the shower valve, drilled the shower wall for the valve, mounted the shower head adapter and all the plumbing/fittings associated with this.

-shut off valves on the pex so that I can isolate the supply to the bathroom.

-ran a 30' line to my basement refrigerator with an icemaker shutoff.

If you really want to know price out all the material on supplyhouse then figure 80-200/hr for labor depending where you live.

I agree. Get the guy a nice tv, some football tickets or somthing for Christmas. More thoughtful then an envelope of cash. My sister did that to me (left cash at my house) when I roughed their bathroom. I didn't want it at all.
