PEX problems?

The attached photo is from the post one or two down titled White Crush on PEX. So far I've only read good things about pex but this is a good post on what can happen.
Now I'm worried about the tubes that get buried in the walls. If it is a slow leak, why the leak?
Is it the kind of crimping used here? Probably improper tool or pressure used? Incomplete crimping? Is it living with it as long as inspection is passed? So far, self soldered copper joints were reliable. Neither a call back nor finding a leak in my house. Is it about the same with pex?
Thank you in advance.
